5c can't hold time and date

I would not attach a chip with low melt. 250C doesn't really mean 250 unless you're using a thermocouple, but no--heat less than normal is fine, and low melt is fine for removal. I'd think you'd have to put a lot of heat onto the board to get the chip to melt from below. I usually put low melt on the joints carefully with an iron, then quick heat to pop it off. Then tin receiver pads with leaded, and solder on quickly with hot air a little less than normal. Touching crystal with the iron is a no go.

Hello,
I have an iPhone 5c that cant hold time and date. I have replaced y2 crystal there is no physical damage to board, setting is correct
any ideas be greatTags: None
