  • Iphone 8 - Reboot every few min when camera cable is connected

    Hello,

This iPhone 8 works as long as camera flex cable is disconnected. When I connect the cable, it will still work but start to reboot randomly, it's stable for 3 min.. then reboot... If I disconnect, it's fine.
The battery is in "repair" status, could that be related ?

    Thanks
    Spot

When I replace the screen, it doesn't reboot but home button won't work and this LCD works perfectly on the other iPhone. With original LCD, home button works fine.... but device reboot every 4-5 min with flex cam connected

This still sounds like “rule number one” aka “a parts issue”
Try swapping the board into another known good OEM housing. 3 minute reboot is usually battery, charge port or a power flex depending on the model.

I put the board in another genuine housing. Everything is ok.... except it doesn't charge. Battery is ok 89 %. Tester said dock flex, tristar are ok. When connected to charger, it takes 0.08. When I shut down the iphone, it takes 0.43 for 3 secondes then it reboot.

Let’s have you do all your connect/disconnects of cables under a microscope —this sounds like we may be gettting some pry damage.

take a diode mode reading on the tiny battery connector pins for the battery data lines —they should both be 0.7

make sure you didn’t knock off q3200 or q3201

send a close up clear picture of the battery connector and charge port connector area under magnification

Investigate the missing component near charge port. Report back with what you find.

Nice catch, thank you. C5716 is gone, it's paste in the isoation. That could explain the black screen hopefully

IPhone keeps rebooting every 3 min. If I connected only DCPS, screen and I start with tweezer, it boot, I enter the code... try to backup and it reboot...

And it doesn't charge. It detect it's plugged but stay at 1% and no sign of charge.
